Evaluate the inlet, membrane, mineral and alkaline filtration stages using dedicated solutions.
Add three drops of the appropriate test solution to a water sample collected from the relevant point.
The developed colour provides rapid preliminary information about the operating condition of the relevant filter.
The basic performance of each filtration stage can be compared within a few minutes.
Why should water purifier filters be checked?
In household water purifiers, water passes through several filtration stages with different functions. Pre-filters help reduce chlorine and certain unwanted substances, while the membrane separates a significant portion of dissolved substances. Mineral and alkaline filters contribute to the final characteristics of the treated water.
Filter performance may change over time depending on service life, inlet-water quality, daily water consumption, pressure, holding time and maintenance frequency. Periodic comparison of the water from individual filter outlets may support more informed maintenance decisions than relying only on a fixed replacement schedule.
The Testonic Water Purifier Control Kit provides rapid preliminary checks of the inlet filter, membrane, mineral filter and alkaline filter stages based on colour change.
Four Basic Controls Provided by the Kit
Inlet Control Solution
Used for a rapid check of the chlorine-reduction performance of the pre-filter set. Collect the sample after the inlet filter set.
Membrane Control Solution
Used for rapid assessment of possible changes in membrane separation performance. Collect the water sample from the membrane outlet.
Mineral Control Solution
Used for a rapid preliminary check of whether the mineral filter is contributing minerals to the final water. Collect the sample after the mineral filter.
Alkaline Control pH Solution
Used to evaluate the general pH character of the final drinking-water outlet and the effect of the alkaline filter through colour change.
This kit is designed for rapid and comparative assessment of the filtration stages of a water purifier. The results do not independently determine exact filter capacity, microbiological safety, all dissolved substances or the numerical rejection rate of the membrane. Uncertain results should be supported by purifier maintenance, conductivity/TDS measurement, pH measurement or an appropriate laboratory analysis.

General Test Procedure
Identify the correct sampling point for the filtration stage to be checked.
Rinse the test tube thoroughly with the collected water sample.
Fill the test tube to the middle mark with the water sample.
Add 3 drops of the appropriate control solution.
Mix gently and allow the developed colour to stabilise.
Interpret the result according to the colour guidance for the relevant solution.
Quick Result Interpretation Table
| Control stage | Favourable result | Result requiring inspection |
|---|---|---|
| Inlet filters | No yellow colour develops | Yellow or dark-yellow colour develops |
| Membrane | Blue or green colour | Red or dark-red colour |
| Mineral filter | Red colour | Green colour |
| Alkaline filter / final water | Green or blue colour | Orange or yellow colour |
Monitor Filter Performance Comparatively
Perform the first test after installing new filters to establish a baseline. Comparing subsequent colour results with the initial results may help you recognise declining filter performance more easily.
After Filter Replacement
Record the initial colour results of the newly installed filters as a reference.
Periodic Check
Repeat the same tests regularly according to the intensity of use.
Before Maintenance
Evaluate which filtration stage may have weakened before servicing or filter replacement.

Check the main filters of your water purifier yourself
Evaluate the inlet filter, membrane, mineral filter and alkaline-filter performance through colour change in a few simple steps, and monitor maintenance and replacement timing more effectively.
This product is intended for rapid field checks and preliminary assessment of water-purifier filtration stages. The test result alone does not confirm drinking-water safety, microbiological safety, membrane rejection rate or compliance with all chemical parameters. In case of uncertain results, inspection by an authorised technical service and appropriate measurement methods are recommended.
