What Does the Kit Measure?
The kit determines the concentration of dissolved calcium ions in a water sample. Calcium is one of the principal minerals affecting water hardness and may influence scaling behaviour, process efficiency and the suitability of water for its intended use.
Results are reported as ppm Ca2+. The test measures calcium specifically; it does not directly determine magnesium, total hardness, pH, alkalinity or the overall scale-forming tendency of the water.

How Is the Result Obtained?
- Fill the test tube with the water sample to the 5 mL mark.
- Add the kit components in the order and quantities specified in the instructions for use.
- Mix until the indicator is fully dispersed. The prepared sample becomes pink/red.
- Add the titration solution drop by drop, mixing gently after each drop.
- Stop at the first clear and persistent change from pink/red to purple, and record the number of drops used.

Storage and Handling
Store the kit at 8–24 °C, in its original packaging and away from direct sunlight. Close all bottles immediately after use. Prevent the dropper tips and measuring equipment from coming into contact with the sample or other kit components.
